ZAIRE

Formerly known as Belgian Congo before renamed to Congo Republic (Kinshasa). Renamed in 1971 to Zaire.

    Currency :
  • 100 sengi = 1 (li) kuta.
  • 100 (ma) kuta = 1 zaire.

ZAMBEZIA

A district in Prtuguese East Africa.
Became known as Quelimane, now part of Mozambique.

ZIL ELWANNYEN SESEL

An island ground comprising island on the outer edge of the Seychelles.
Includes islands of Aldabra, Coetivy, Farquhar and Amirante.

ZULULAND

A territory of Southeast Asia.
Left British control in 1887 and joined Natal in 1897.
